The main steps of the operation include reshaping the nasal pyramid structures, septoplasty, reducing the inferior nasal turbinates (if necessary), and closing the incision lines with absorbable sutures.
A significant factor contributing to patient comfort and reduced bruising is the use of silicone splints instead of gauze packing. These splints support the nasal cartilage structures for a week and are then easily and painlessly removed. External support is provided by a customized plastic splint, which is worn for one week.
 
Recovery:
Patients can return home the day after the surgery. Initial postoperative swelling and inflammation will significantly subside within the first few weeks, but the final appearance of the nose may be observed, on average, one year after rhinoplasty.
