What is Abdominoplasty?

Abdominoplasty, or a tummy tuck, helps achieve a flat and firm abdomen by strengthening the abdominal wall, bringing separated muscles together, and removing excess skin and fat. It's a great option for individuals who struggle to achieve a toned abdomen despite rigorous exercise, those who have lost significant weight, women post-pregnancy, or those with abdominal muscle laxity due to aging or genetic factors.

Procedure:

The procedure lasts about two hours. An incision is made horizontally above the pubic area to tighten and flatten the abdominal wall and muscles. A smaller incision releases the navel (belly button), which will be repositioned after removing excess skin and fat.

Recovery:

Patients will wear a compressive abdominal binder for 2-3 days to aid movement and support the healing process. Normal physical activities can typically be resumed within 10-14 days.
